• The GOP is now claiming that they banned her not for saying “vagina,” but for saying “no means no,” because they were offended that she compared rape and abortion. (This would be called “moving the goalposts,” especially because reps were quoted when this story first broke as saying that vagina “was not a word I would use in mixed company.”) 
• The GOP person who banned her is saying that he doesn’t regret banning her, he just regrets giving her advance notice that she would be banned from speaking
• And their main defense is that “the Democrats did stuff like this to us all the time so now we’re in control and we’ll shut them up too”
